Free Exercise Physiology Consultation
Open 15 September 2026 to 15 October 2026, or until 10 assessments have been booked — whichever comes first
PART I
In short: You get a free one-on-one appointment with an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. We talk through your health and your goals, and give you some starting advice on exercise. It costs you nothing, and nothing is claimed against your funding. There is no obligation to book anything afterwards.
What you get
One 30-minute appointment with an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. In that appointment we:
- talk through your health history, any conditions or injuries, and what you want to achieve
- take some baseline measurements
- give you some general starting advice on exercise that suits your situation
- explain which of our services might help, what a programme would involve, and what it would cost
What this appointment is not
This appointment is an introduction. It is not a full assessment, and we will not give you a diagnosis or a written exercise programme during it.
The advice we give is general and based on what you tell us on the day. If you decide to go ahead, we complete a full assessment first and build a programme from that.
This appointment does not replace advice from your GP or specialist. Please keep seeing them as you normally would, and talk to them before making decisions about your health.
Where it is available
Belmont, Melton, Brimbank, Hurstville, Sans Souci, Elizabeth and Salisbury.
This offer is available at these clinics only. The appointment is in person at the clinic. It is not available online.
Your safety
Exercise is not suitable for everyone in every circumstance. If anything you tell us suggests you should speak to your doctor first, we will say so, and we may recommend you do that before starting any programme.
If you feel unwell, dizzy or in pain at any point during the appointment, tell your clinician straight away.
Before your appointment
We will ask you some questions about your health, including any conditions, medications or past injuries. Please answer as fully as you can — it is how we work out what is safe for you.
If you already have advice from a doctor or specialist about exercise, please bring it or have it handy.
How many are available
We are offering 10 free consultations in this round, across all our clinics — not 10 at each clinic. Once they are taken, or once the offer closes on 15 Oct, 2026 — whichever happens first — the offer ends. We will update our website to say so within two business days.
You can still book a consultation after that. It will not be free. See “If the free offer is not available to you” in Part II.
Part II
Who can take up these offers
The free appointment is for people who are new to Healthstin and who receive funding through the NDIS or Support at Home.
One free appointment per person. If you have already taken up one of these offers, or any other Healthstin introductory offer, the other is not available to you.
The free appointment cannot be transferred to someone else, exchanged for cash or another service, or used together with any other Healthstin offer.
What the free appointment costs you
Nothing. It is free.
It is not billed to your NDIS plan, your Support at Home budget, Medicare, your private health fund, or any other funder. Your funding is not touched.
If the free offer is not available to you
You can still book an appointment with us. It will not be free. This applies if:
- you are funded another way — privately, through Medicare, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, a workers compensation insurer or a private health fund
- the round is full, or has closed
- you have already taken up one of our introductory offers
That appointment is charged at our normal rates. If you receive NDIS or Support at Home funding, it can usually be claimed against your funding, if you choose to go ahead. We will tell you what it costs before you book anything.
If you go ahead with a service
If you decide to go ahead after your appointment, those sessions are charged at our normal rates. If you receive NDIS or Support at Home funding, they can usually be claimed against your funding.
Before we provide or claim for any funded service, we put a service agreement in place. You agree to it, and so does your plan manager or support coordinator where you have one. Nothing is claimed against your funding until that is done.
We will tell you exactly what everything costs before you book anything.
Booking and cancellation
Appointments are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.
If you need to change or cancel, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice so we can offer the time to someone else. If you cancel with less notice or do not attend, we may not be able to offer you another free appointment. You will not be charged.
If we cannot offer you an appointment
We may not be able to offer the appointment if:
- the free appointment is not available to you, as set out above
- we do not have a suitable clinician available at the time you want
- the service would not be clinically appropriate for you
- we cannot deliver the service safely
If that happens, we will tell you why. Where it is a question of cost or eligibility, we will tell you what a paid appointment would cost, and suggest what else might help.
